• The library contains a generous collection of fiction and non-fiction for student use. The entire school has 15 minutes of silent reading daily. Reading is encouraged at Shikellamy Middle School.
• The library is in use for scheduled classes daily periods 1-2-3. Other classes may be scheduled Days A-C-E, when Mrs. Shemory is scheduled to be here all day.
• Students are not required to check books out of the library, but they are required to have reading materials with them throughout the school day.
• On days when no classes are scheduled, students may choose to come to the library for silent study, computer use, and recreational reading.
• Communication Arts and Reading classes participate in Accelerated Reader. More information is available by clicking on that tab.
