SCIENCE IS MY FAVORITE SUBJECT, OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!! I live in Sunbury with my son, my husband and our two dogs.  I love family time, traveling, nature, biking, hiking, reading, photography, lifting weights, experimenting with recipes for vegetables and grains, and learning new ways to help my students grow. This summer my family visited Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks in California, where we went hiking in the Sierras! We saw bears, mule deer, El Capitan, Half Dome, the giant sequoias, and so much more! Two summers ago we visited the only temperate rainforest in the world, the Redwood Forest, which is found in Oregon and California on the northern coast. You will learn about the redwoods in class this year. I still consider that trip the best vacation of my life, but our most recent trip to California was amazing, too. Summer has been an adventure, and now I can't wait to dig into a new school year! I am so happy that YOU will be in my classroom!

My Mottos:  Be kind, always.     Mistakes are proof that you are trying.     Different is fair.

I believe that my job as a science teacher is to provide learning experiences that spark interest, deep thinking, creativity, excitement for learning, questioning, compassion, understanding, challenges, connections and fun. True learning comes from digging in, making mistakes, trial and error, growth and discovery. I look forward to sharing my love of teaching and learning with your child this year.
